The community has long wanted seating around the Pit Rim Walk, so the Waihī Community Forum has partnered with OceanaGold to provide it!

These heavy-duty seats, built by Upphyscler, will provide resting spots around the Pit Rim Walk for Waihī’s locals and visitors alike. There are five in total, and it won’t be long before they’re in position and you can head up to the pit rim to give them a test run yourself.

The seats have been proudly funded by the Waihī Community Forum Streets Ahead fund and are being installed by OceanaGold.
